My FGP and I

An impromptu (birthday) dinner appointment with the FGP tonight turned out to an awesome night out indeed. I'm glad the times while I'm away didn't seem to have changed anything much. The waitresses probably can't wait for us to go since we were among the last few customers in the restaurant and we still kept on talking and nibbling on our food. So we finished the pack when we really shouldn't have, the two most unlikely persons partaking in the most unlikely activity haha. None of this madness next year when I'm back I hope. Bleah I think I'll miss my FGP very much when I leave next week, argh parting is such sweet sorrow before it even happens.

New york new york

Met my girlfriends for a quick bite at new york new york, citylink mall on saturday. While the food seemed reasonably priced, it took ages for their ice-cream and coffee orders to arrive. Since it is a newly-opened restaurant (or so I was told), I'll attribute this to fine-tuning - the staff still in the midst of perfecting their act. Good move on their part for not charging the coffee when it did finally come long after MJ had cancelled it, although I'm not sure if that helps since my girlfriends have decided to boycott the place for the time being.

Exodus from lebanon

"We've called the American, French, British, Canadian and Australian embassies to ask for help in evacuating our citizens, but till now we have not heard back from them," said Miss Mimrelle Maaluf.

"We decided we could not wait anymore, and this morning, we got the green light from Singapore to go ahead and evacuate them."

Haven't we learnt our lesson enough when the british fled and left us to fend for ourselves back in 1942 - who will care about a little red dot in such times? Always gotta depend on ourselves, man.

Fake accents

I cannot stand people who fake accents, got a local colleague who thinks highly of her (artificial) american accented english and who attempts to be really casual about it when she speaks. How nice, I'm forced to hear her every conversation because she sits across from me. What a turn off. Bleah! Even more so reason not to fall prey to fake accents myself.

Never leave a girl idle in the vicinity of a mall

because the lesson learnt is that she will go into shops to pass time and end up buying things she didn't plan on buying before. That's how I got a new top yesterday while waiting for D to arrive, in addition to the I heart hk tee he gave me.

Lunch hour gym routine

Cut myself some slack today at the gym since I'm feeling kinda lazy and I didn't want to kill the routine by pushing myself too hard. I ended up doing 40min on the stairmasters plus getting all emo watching black hawk down which happened to be showing on cable. I guess whenever I lack the motivation to continue I just look in the mirror and conclude I still have alot to go before I can let complacency take over.
