Winter Wear
... does not equate to just jeans or skirts/boots in a slutty style as is commonly witnessed in this part of the world, and I'm kinda intent on coming up with a quirky brand of fun fashion this winter.

Amazing, and the link to their website here.
I finally did live to see friday, though things eventually became less hectic than I thought i.e. stay tuned for more stress next week. We had a sumptuous dinner at coconut paradise, thanks to KY - she got her promotion! So no more messing around with her, this is 严经理 (manager yan) that we are talking to from now on, heh. I really would recommend coconut paradise to anyone craving for authentic thai food in shanghai, the food is delicious and the service great. We didn't make any reservations prior to heading there and even though the restaurant was fairly packed, its friendly staff managed to set up a table for 10 in reasonably quick time. Oh, did I mention they were friendly too?
After dinner N and I walked over to bonbon for the sven vath gig, stopping by his old place as well as the much-heard-about people 7 bar. It was so crowded at bonbon there was no space in the coat/bag room and everyone was packed like sardines in the main dance floor. I had never heard sven vath before this and was expecting minimal techno from the promo poster but it wasn't really that nor was it commercial eurotrash techno so it was something listenable in between that didn't leave much of an impression on me. The thing that did, however was that I managed to last the night without getting wasted (good for me and my new year's resolution) and I intend to keep it that way heh. The night ended at 6am when we parted ways after supper, and N and I must have talked for hours in spite of our post-clubbing tiredness.
It's almost as if a whole year of workload just got slotted into five days and I'm starting to miss those self-studying days (good for me not good for client chargeability) where I vaguely remembered complaining about a lack (did I say lack?) of tasks. This is going to be a really tough week at work, the toughest so far I'd say. Impossible deadlines and everyone whom I'm helping out with needs their work completed ASAP. How ever would I be able to spend the whole, if not more, of tomorrow (including night) working on a client deliverable due on thursday afternoon if a manager's insisting that I reserve tomorrow night for discussion/finalizing his client memo? I really have no idea, not to mention that I'm in dire need of sleep/rest, already my week's gotten off to a yummmy start of reaching home at 2-past 3am for two nights straight and more likely to come. Keeping my fingers crossed on no more new assignments cos I'm having trouble finishing the current ones on time (add another manager who wasn't pleased that I haven't got started on her work yet). Help, I'm overworked I can't breathe..!
p/s And it doesn't help that I can't go for this anymore. I need a miracle no less and I doubt there would be any.
Life outside of work has been good to me, maybe to make up for the humongous load of work of late. Maybe more later but definitely no pictures cos my camera is still with W, this weekend I went to an opening of a studio, M's farewell party at barbarossa, did a morning run (finally!) with A, visited the smallest flea market in the whole world hidden in the alleys of hongkou district, hung out at N's/T's lovely lanehouse apartment, had cozy dinner at le petit café and was immersely disappointed by the much-anticipated wang lei and pump gig at 4live. Got to run, I've got to clean up the house, do some grocery shopping, get some work done... the list goes on... before some friends head over for to my apartment for a dinner tonight (yes, I'm cooking tonight).
