Ketching Up With The Girlfriends
Considerably lesser with YM since someone has a busy dinner/drinks schedule. Otherwise, it's been good talking to the girls in real life for once instead of the usual email conversing.

Trying Out awfullychocolate
Verdict: For each of our entire time in Shanghai (N - 2yrs, L - 1yr, WL - 1.5yr respectively), this must have been the moistest chocolatey cake we've ever had! Yum yum yum, the partie de chocolat was a success indeed the banana combination works out well too! We'll like you better if only you are not so pricey (ref prices in Singapore).
Updates From Home
I'm almost done sorting/ deleting/ finalizing my set of pictures from A&S' wedding last weekend. I guess one does feel sorta fuzzy inside witnessing the elaborate three-part full-day event, though I think the latino boys probably feel a little more: none of them are that keen on scoring a Singaporean chinese bride no more, especially if the door-breaking tradition is to be carried on, haha.
Mommy cooked her specialty fishhead curry tonight, and of course I finished every single drop, bite, bone... almost. The time when I'm away, I probably miss local food the most, both hawker fare and mom's homecooked dishes. The flavor, the spice and even just eating rice on a plate with fork/spoon. Nothing compares, really.
In other news, my laptop died. At quite an appropriate time considering I'm not at the mercy of chinese retailers and their speak-in-chinese laptops. Yet it probably would have been better if it lasts half a year more, enough time for me to save up for a new one. Chances are I may have to take my sister's ibook g4 while she gets a desktop in a bid to cut expenses.

- Vacation back home was off to a good start with a free upgrade to business class last night. Family, friends and a wedding awaits, best of all no more great firewall!
