Beijing Family Tripping

So it's confirmed, the parents and the sister are heading this way come late September. I'll be bringing them to Beijing too for a first all-members-present family vacation ... even if it means I'll be penniless after the vacation oh well.

p/s Beijing was the reason why I ended up working in China, and I haven't exactly been back since I reached Shanghai 1.5 years ago. Beijing, finally and let's hope I have time to catch the modern sky festival with XJ too. Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be headlining !

Rehab.01

Some friends are launching a semi regular club night this Saturday, come along show them some love. It should be good if you are into non-commercial music by good DJs. I'll be there.

Feeling Nostalgic

Over lunch yesterday my co-workers were talking about before sunrise/ before sunset. Then it dawned on me how my chance encounter with C in the summer of 2005 does seem to resemble the plot some, and it also pretty much sums up the fact that some of the best moments in life are best left untouched without the frills of the aftermath.

  • Say hello to Marge, the low-fat milk cow and Tempo, a life-saver cos god knows how many times I've deleted things off my portable HDD only to realize I need it back.

  • I ended up watching two extremely educational documentaries tonight, one on Anna Chennault and another on Xuzhou's terracotta army. Now there's something else on tv about how wildlife is living harmoniously with mankind in Rio de Janeiro just before/during the Carnaval.
