- Good to hear. Will we see Cheap Mondays in Shanghai next? Fingers crossed.
Operation Bunny Ears
Void And Existence
I'd popped by An-Xiong Qiu's Void and Existence exhibition over at Bund 18 during lunch time today. His video installations are almost surreal photos of countryside landscapes, until a motorcycle or a truck rambles into view and then out of screen to remind you that you're actually watching a landscape unfolding in real time. Existence, well exemplified. Nothing dramatic, boring even. Question: what is there to actually separate void from plain existence?

- If I do make it to HK in the next few weeks, this is definitely where I'll be staying.
What To Make Of
Even I don't know what to make of the emotions myself, much less interpret to KY how I'm feeling.
Contradictive, quite like something bugging me and yet there is nothing to resolve. It's probably best not to think too much. And I'm taking comfort in the kind of cigs he smokes, maybe a little too regularly these days.

Weekend Up-Tos #5

Bachelorette parties are fun no doubt, collecting kisses for A, the bride-to-be with an obscene amount of alcohol involved (we spiked all the food because we were afraid A wouldn't drink so much). We also donned bunny ears and almost got a stripper. Good sport, A!
An accumulation of household chores comprising of sweeping, mopping, doing laundry, changing bed sheets, sending clothes/ dirty bed sheets to laundry. I wish I have an ayi.
Clams cookout at M's again, this is becoming very much a weekend routine. We're addicted and we can't stop.
I find The Analog Girl gig a tat disappointing. Luckily The Shelter wasn't, I haven't been to a dnb event in so long I almost forgot how it felt like.
It was nice meeting KY for a quick catchup over udon, felt a little like the old times.
The massage guy didn't manage to pop my spine like the other time and when I asked him how come, he said I wasn't relaxed enough.

- I love this picture. The silhouette, buildings, the tilt of her head and cig in hand... gorgeous.
Culture Shock #158
Chinese coworker asks, "Why not take up Chinese citizenship since you've been in China for so long?" I struggled for a bit trying not to give a rude reply. I think my reply in the end was still not as diplomatic as it should.
- Love (via The Year in Pictures): Looking back at young love that has withstood the test of time, events, shared experiences... definitely much sweeter than any young love you are witnessing now.
