- At the risk of being lynched, frankly, I don't get the hoo-haa over Sharon Stone's comments. They don't sound whacked off-tangent to me and she is certainly entitled to her own opinions (about karma that relates to China as a whole).
- Preserving the Premier's chalk marks: A fine account of propaganda in progress.
- Being at the airport always puts me in a reflective mood.

- ClampLight: Looks really good, would love to lay my hands on one.
- A must-go for French-speaking skanky boys in Shanghai.
- Just when we think we've witnessed the worst. Seriously, someone tell her stockings are not pants, polka-dotted or not.
Weekend Up-Tos #7

An acquaintance had told me she thought I was 30, like her, since she thinks I'm quite good in what I do. She was quite surprised I wasn't. I hope it's not because I look so much older than my actual age.
KY had a birthday picnic in the park yesterday. It was lovely spending time with friends, doing silly things (note: no boys had been harmed in the process) and just lying on the grass.
I came across this instant sweet tofu dessert in the convenient store. To my surprise, it was actually quite delicious. So I guess china is quite good at instant dessert things.
J gave me this plastic ball contraption that I could fill with liquid softener and place into the washing machine with my laundry. It would eventually release the softener without the need to keep track of the last cycle. I know I'm a little slow, but OMG I can't believe I never knew about this earlier ! All those times I had to do an extra cycle just because I missed the last cycle !
We had a day off on Friday because of the Olympic torch relay, and no of course I slept in rather than turned up to catch a torch relay that wasn't.
